Prof. Dr. Mustafa Polat is a faculty member at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, OSTİM Technical University. He received his bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering from the Turkish Military Academy in 1994, completed his MBA at Yeditepe University in 2000, and earned his PhD in Business Administration from Uludağ University in 2010. He became an Associate Professor in Management and Strategy in 2012 and a Full Professor in 2021.

Prof. Polat served for many years at the Turkish Military Academy as a faculty member, Head of Department, and Chair of the Department. In 2000, he was part of the team that conducted the first feasibility study of the modern tank. Between 2016 and 2019, he contributed to the establishment of the National Defense University and the restructuring of the Turkish Military Academy’s curriculum. Within this framework, he designed the “Logistics Undergraduate Program”, which has been implemented in the Turkish Armed Forces and the Military Academy since 2019 for the first time.

He has also taught courses at Erzincan University, Atılım University, and Turkish Aeronautical Association University, and delivered seminars at the Gendarmerie and Coast Guard Academy as well as at various public and private institutions. His academic work includes international and national journal articles, book chapters, and conference papers in the fields of Management, Strategy, Leadership, and Organizational Behavior.

Since 2003, Prof. Polat has engaged in voluntary educational activities, mentoring students and contributing to their professional and career development. He continues his research focusing on enhancing individual and organizational capabilities within businesses as a pathway to national development.
